As of this census, the total nuclear medicine camera installed base is estimated to be 12,860 stationary installations at 7,005 sites (excluding mobile units serving multiple sites). This includes 3,935 hospitals that have 8,850 stationary cameras and 3,070 nonhospitals that have 4,010 cameras.

In addition to these sites, an estimated 200 sites use nuclear cameras in mobile vans exclusively.
