Qure.ai touts AI lung cancer initiative milestone

Qure.ai has processed one million lung scans in an AI lung health initiative that aims to include five million scans.

The initiative is part of a commitment Qure.ai made at the 2022 World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, at which the biopharmaceutical company AstraZeneca joined the forum's Edison Alliance. The alliance is a partnership between commercial and nonprofit sectors to improve the lives of people through digital inclusion.

Qure.ai is working with AstraZeneca’s A.Catalyst Network for improving patient outcomes, and the Lung Ambition Alliance, a global coalition with the ambition to eliminate lung cancer as a cause of death.

Qure.ai noted that AI-powered chest x-ray analysis has been implemented across under-resourced regions of the U.K., Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.
