(Booth 8503) Riverain Medical of Miamisburg, OH, has repositioned its RapidScreen product for chest CAD using digital radiography, with the software now known as OnGuard.

OnGuard is designed to identify solitary pulmonary nodules that may represent early-stage lung cancer. Riverain has developed a series of performance enhancements for the software, and has applied for U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval. The older version of the software was approved by the FDA in 2001.

The software works with existing DR systems, and supports connectivity with any PACS network, according to the company.
